Welcome to the home of the Mid Rivers Junior Football Association.

The Mid Rivers Junior Football Association has been involved in teaching football and cheerleading to the youth of St. Charles County for over 30 years. The organization is staffed by volunteers that meet year-round to organize NFL Flag football in the spring, and tackle football & cheerleading in the fall. Our goals are to teach teamwork, compete, and have fun while preparing our kids to play football in High School and beyond.

We want parents involved, and encourage those parents with coaching and/or high level playing experience to join us.

We also try to maintain the lowest costs to play in the area. Kids shouldn’t be prevented from participating due to high costs. To help encourage younger kids to start tackle football, we have a program where first year 7 & 8 year old players do NOT pay a registration fee. Ages based on league age cutoff dates for the season.

Boys and Girls can play. Come out and join us!

Our official name is Mid Rivers Junior Football Association, or MRJFA for short.  We are known by many variations, such as Mid Rivers Junior Football League, Midrivers Junior Football, Mid Rivers Football, Midrivers Football, Mid-Rivers Football and Mid Rivers JFL. Originally we were St. Peters Junior Football Association.

We're all about youth football in the St. Charles County area.  Our Youth Football programs draw kids, from all around the St. Charles, Missouri area, such as:  St. Charles, St. Peters, O'Fallon, Harvester, Lake St. Louis, Wentzville, Cottleville, Weldon Spring, Dardenne Prairie, and the West County St. Louis Area.  We are located at 14 Main Street, St. Peters, MO 63376

Check our site for information about the Gateway Football League including standings.

Mid Rivers Junior Football started in 1973 (as St. Peters Junior Football) playing in the St. Louis Junior Football League (aka JFL).  We remained in this little league football association for over 30 years.  In 2005, we started to play in the Gateway Football League (which is similar to Pop Warner Football).  We now accept players in all age groups with unrestricted weight.  There are restrictions for ball carriers even with unlimited weight.  Our tackle football (or full contact football) programs are meant to teach football to kids.  This is a starter football league that introduces kids to football fundamentals and allows them to play organized football and benefit from real football coaching.  If you have experience as a football coach, or enjoy coaching football, we encourage you to join us in teaching children football.

Our goals are to teach boys & girls the basic fundamentals of football on both offense and defense.  Our coaches teach the skills needed for each position.  A learning program such as ours will help prepare your child for high school football.  It doesn't matter if your child is in the St. Charles School District, Francis Howell School District, Fort Zumwalt School District, or an independent school.  Someday they will be playing with the Francis Howell Vikings, Central Spartans, North Knights, Ft. Zumwalt North Panthers, Hope Eagles, South Bulldogs, or West Jaguars, or Orchard Farm Eagles.  Our junior football program is for you.

If you are interested in coaching tackle football, NFL Flag football, or cheerleading.  Please contact us.

Everyone can Play Football:

Our junior flag and NFL Flag football for boys & girls is based on the NFL youth football programs.  In the spring, we run an NFL Flag football program for kids ages 6-14.  NFL Flag is a great way to start the learning process if you are interested in playing tackle football.  Kids learn to follow plays, and have a coach running the offense and defense.  Coaches stay on the field during play.  In NFL Flag, everyone can be a receiver or running back.  NFL Flag also gives coaches a chance to see kids playing before the fall season.

Our junior flag program is based on the NFL Flag program.  It allows kids ages 5-6 to play in the fall.  You can also stick around and watch the 7 & 8 year olds play a tackle football game.  This program gives kids a chance to start flag football at an earlier age than most programs.

All tackle football teams have cheerleaders.  Cheerleaders can cheer for the team of their choice.  If you are interested in being a cheer coach, please contact us.
